The competition was fierce, fun, and delicious. Donley Ford of Galion’s own Tim McCane scored a victory in the Donley Auto Group Chili Cookoff Competition on Friday, Nov. 15. He bested all our Galion co-workers to win the dealership crown and earn a berth in the company semifinals. The company cookout featured delicious chili made by employees from Donley Ford of Galion, Donley Ford of Ashland, Donley Ford of Mt. Vernon, and Donley Ford of Shelby. Money raised from the company cookout benefited the United Way.

All staff could participate by bringing chili, or they were able to donate $5 and taste all the pots of chili. After eating all the fantastic chili recipes, participates voted for the winners. Each dealership had a winning representative, and they earned a berth on the semifinals. Gina Koppler scored a victory for Donley Ford of Ashland. Melissa Ruhe won the crown for Donley Ford of Mt. Vernon. Luther Gray represented Donley Ford of Shelby with his win. The trio joined Tim McCane in the semifinals.

Each semifinalist won a trunk tote, a T-shirt, and miscellaneous items. Judi, Ben, and Ryan judged the finals and declared Luther Gray, from Donley Ford of Shelby, the overall winner. He was awarded an apron, a trophy, a new crockpot, and bragging rights.

Donley Ford of Galion says thank you to our entire team for supporting the United Way and creating an awesome event with outstanding chili. We are home to all your Ford trucks, cars, crossover, and SUV model needs.
